Family Picture Time!
My sweet sister Naoma is a great photographer and I got her to fit us into her busy schedule to take our family pictures. She takes all sorts of photo shoots. She has a great creative eye and I love how our pictures turn out. If you need to great photographer you can go to her blog. www.photosbynaoma.blogspot.com (there are more family pictures in the archive/older posts)

Our Halloween FHE
We had a blast carving our pumpkins and eating our homemade caramel apples. I need to get a better recipe because melting the store bought caramels didn't work out at all for me. I think that I didn't have enough, so next time I think I will try making my own caramel. I talked to my sister Martha and she has a good recipe. Maybe next year I will try that instead!!!

Fall Break
For fall break my sister Mary and her kids and my little family went to the American Fork pool (it has a big bubble over it). It was a nice day and we enjoyed a great couple of hours in the water. It was a nice change and it was not crowded which was a big bonus. I guess that is what happens when you go swimming in October.
What a cute kid! (too bad that the picture is blurry)
Owen and James. Best of Friends!
Jacob having a lazy day!
Here is our little dare devil. Once he got used to the water he had no fear. Mary kept laughing because he would just go and then fall under the water and then I would have to save him and he would just keep going. It was quite funny.

Just me and the babe!
He is the sweetest little guy. It is funny that I am his third favorite though. Lynna (my sister-in-law that lives right behind us) is his first, Jeff is his second and I am his third. But he is slowly coming around to wanting me. I am just glad that he is not just a mama's boy and that he actually likes to go with other people, especially if you are going outside to see our neighbors dog!
Just the two of us three times a week. My oldest is in school and the next two are in preschool three times a week. It has been along time since I have had only one at home, even if it is for only 2 hours. I will take it!

A Mom Entry
I am thinking that I might as well try to make this more about my life. I am not a great writer but I need to get some journal writing in and it seems that I cannot do both. My sister Naoma made a hard copy of her blog and now has a great scrapbook and journal. So here I am, and I will try to do my best.
So life with children is mostly what I thought it would be. Growing up in a family of 11 children, you kind of got the idea of what could possibly be thrown at you. We have so many different types of personalities in our family that now I look at my kids and see some of my siblings in each of them. It is fun to have 4 boys that all are extremely different. So here I am thinking of when I will have the next one and wondering what he or she would be like. SHE!!! I don't even know that word. I love my boys! I will take all boys but a girl or two thrown in the mix might be nice. I really want my boys to know how to treat girls. They are doing a good job with their mom though. I have to say that I love being a mom and even though it can be hard I wouldn't ever trade this opportunity to raise some of the finest young men!

Our Romantic Getaway to San Francisco
One of our favorite breakfast places, Mel's Diner. But our most favorite place was a little place in the farmers market that was right next to the hotel.
The best sign that I think I have ever seen, especially since it was right next to the park where all the homeless people slept.
A little restaurant up in the Haight/Ashbury district. This place served great crepes, but the district was definitely not my style.
A peace lovin' place.

Fishermens Warf
The picture that you have to pay for. He won't dance, nor will he pose for a picture unless you tip him in his little bucket. He probably is still doing well in this economy. Maybe we should all dress up like a Gold Statue, Jeff you would look good in silver though!!!! But you must have some good dance moves.
Do you really think that you could swim from Alkatraz?
Don't we all wish that we had this kind of life!!!

Schools In
Here he goes. My little boy is growing up.
Ready for school. I hope that he continues to like school. He had done so well so far and I just hope he can develop a love for school and learning. Is that really to much to ask?
At least he has some friends in his class that were in his old class. I think that made it a lot easier.
